The skin cancer condition of Squamous cell carcinoma is largely due to the damage of the squamous cells. The signs of the skin cancer in case of squamous cell carcinoma usually spring up in the form of red bump formation on the skin, face and even on the back of the hands of the body. The skin cancer signs usually occur on men more than women due to difference in the dressing patterns observed by both. This kind of carcinogenic growth usually takes a long time in contrast to the commonly occurring form of skin cancer called the basal cell carcinoma.
It should be noted that the skin cancer signs in squamous cell carcinoma usually spring up when the body is subjected to prolonged exposure to sun. Activities like tanning usually result in skin cancer quite frequently. As such it is highly advisable to avoid such activities involving exposure to sun. One should also try to avoid the usage of tanning beds and make it a habit of using sunscreens with a SPF of 30 or more. This would provide adequate protection to the skin of the body from the UV rays present in the sunlight.

Skin cancer exists in three different types based on the influence and the affected portions of the body. Though several signs of the skin cancer in these types are similar, there can be cases where one may find a more critical skin cancer sign which makes a type of skin cancer a more critical type. Basal cell carcinoma and the squamous cell carcinoma are considered to be the commonly found types of skin cancer and the skin cancer signs of these types of carcinoma is normally found in majority of the population affected by skin cancer.
Basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma are non Melanoma conditions and as such are not treated as deadly types. But the signs of skin cancer in case of Melanoma have a different story altogether. The skin cancer of Melanoma is a deadly type. The most critical skin cancer signs in case of a Melanoma type of skin cancer is that it spreads to other parts of the body and may at times result in serious conditions and death too. Though the occurrence of this type is low, a significant number of people around the world are affected by this type of skin cancer signs.
One can spot the occurrence of Melanoma skin cancer by observing the signs of skin cancer. Normally one should be skeptic when one would find spots on the skin or moles. The skin cancer signs of melanoma indicate a changing type of mole formation on the body. Not all moles are dangerous, but if the mole has a changing appearance with time, it may indicate a cancerous growth. Melanoma is a skin cancer that usually affects the pigment cells of the skin known as the melanocytes. The damage caused by the melanoma form of skin cancer is too critical than any other form of skin cancer.
